How Can Parents Get Involved?

Getting Involved

As a parent you can get involved by joining in with our activity days by bringing in related resources or dressing your child up for the theme.
We hold Mothers day and Fathers day Stay and Play sessions that you are welcome to attend.

You can also participate by sharing your child's interests and by bringing in appropriate resources or showing how they have been learning at home.

.

We base our planning around the children's interests, allowing free choice with the activities that we carry out.

Home Observation

It is important to work in partnership to meet your child’s care and learning needs. Completing this observation will inform us of any new interests your child has, or celebrate what your child has been enjoying during the weekend, (events, holidays, etc.) or any new developmental achievements.

This will support practitioners in gaining a picture of your child whilst at home, and help us to plan appropriate activities for your child. It is also a very useful discussion tool to use with your child especially if a photo or picture is attached. Click the link below to download.

Parents Evening

Princes Risborough Day Nursery hold Parent’s Evening twice a year. We hold short sessions with your Child’s Key-carer to discuss your child’s Learning Journey, how they have progressed and met the EYFS goals, and finally mutually create their next steps. Parents Evenings are usually held in March and September.

Early Years Foundation Stage Evening

PRDN hold an Early Years Foundation Stage Evening every year.  Practitioners are on hand to demonstrate activities across all areas of the EYFS, to further explain the curriculum and answer any questions parents may have. Parents have reported that their favourite part is the ‘goodie’ bag that they receive with practical ideas/activities to carry out at home. NEXT EYFS EVENING IS Thursday 15th June

Session Times

We are open from 8:00am-6:00pm Monday-Friday. We cater for children aged from 3 months to 5 years, offering all day, morning and afternoon sessions.
